Dear GEC Students:

We hope your Term 4 is going well! It is hard to believe we are already at the mid-point of the Term and days away from Spring Break!

As you are aware, GEC will be closed for Spring Break from April 17th – April 21st and will reopen and resume classes for Term 4 on Monday, April 24th.  We wish everyone a safe Spring Break and hope you take the time to rest and rejuvenate for the term ahead.

As part of our continued Health and Safety protocols to ensure we maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, we are participating in the “Test to Return” policy. We are requiring all GEC Staff and all GEC Students who come into the building to take a rapid antigen test on Sunday, April 23rd before returning to campus on Monday, April 24th. PCR tests are not required. Negative tests do not need any action.

  • Rapid antigen tests must be picked up before spring break and are available in the main school offices.
  • Any positive result must be shared with the coach for next steps. If you test positive on Sunday, April 23rd, please do not come to the building on Monday, April 24th and instead wait for your coach to contact you for next steps.

We are extremely proud of our community and thank each student for your commitment to your education journey! We are also excited to return from Spring Break and celebrate the many accomplishments of Term 4 and push into the final weeks of the term. Some important dates to keep on your calendars include:

  • Thursday, May 4th – Last Day of Term 4
  • May 8th – May 12th – No classes (this is the in between term time for scheduling!)
  • Monday, May 15th – Day 1 of Term 5

As always, please reach out with any questions. We wish everyone a wonderful break!
