Joe McDonald

Joe McDonald is a communications facilitator who specializes in adult education. He is proud to be a native Washingtonian. After a 26-year career in management at Continental Airlines, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Science in Management/Organizational Communication at The Catholic University of America as an adult student. Mr. McDonald is an adjunct professor at Catholic University and George Washington University where he teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in communication and management.

In the Fall of 2018 Mr. McDonald became the Manager of College and Career Readiness at the Goodwill Excel Center (GEC), a public charter high school for adult students in Washington D.C. He considers this his greatest career accomplishment to date. At the GEC, Mr. McDonald teaches Business Administration and Communication Skills classes while working with current students and alumni to prepare them for the next steps upon graduation. Mr. McDonald loves that he can combine all his life experiences to guide adult students like himself to realize their own innate abilities and achieve success.
