LaTia Taliaferro

LaTia Taliaferro is the Lead Academic Success coach at the Goodwill Excel Center. LaTia comes to GEC from Community Connections, which is a mental health agency that provides DC residents with mental and behavioral supports. LaTia is originally from PG County, Maryland and moved back to DC after graduating from Spellman College. She earned her Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. LaTia is guided by a quote from Howard Thurman, which says, “Don’t ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
