Dear GEC Community,

Term 1 has wrapped up, and it has been an amazing start to the school year! On behalf of the entire GEC team, we are all so proud of your growth!  Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th we do not have classes. Please make sure you are in communication with your coach who will share your Term 2 schedule with you. The first day of Term 2 is Wednesday, October 21st and we look forward to seeing you back in school then! We want to share some important dates and reminders as we head into Term 2.

Important Term 2 Dates:

  • Monday 10/19 and Tuesday 10/20: No classes – Your coach will be reaching out to you about your Term 2 schedule to make any adjustments or schedule changes. 
  • Wednesday 10/21: Day 1 of classes for Term 2!
  • Wednesday 11/25 – Friday 11/27: GEC is closed for Thanksgiving Break 
  • Thursday 12/17: Last day of Term 2 
  • Monday 12/21 – Friday 1/1: GEC is closed for Winter Break
  • Monday 1/4 and Tuesday 1/5: GEC staff returns to prepare for Term 3
  • Wednesday 1/6: Day 1 of Term 3
  • Friday 1/15: January Class of 2027 Graduation! More information to come! 

A Few Reminders:

  • Term 2: Term 2 begins on Wednesday, October 21st – arrive to school for classes!  
  • Schedule changes: You can adjust your Term 2 schedule during the first week of classes, so please make sure you are in communication with your coach.
  • PowerSchool logins: Make sure you have access to PowerSchool so you can review your Term 1 grades! Ask your coach for your login if you don’t have it.  

In Term 2, we look froward to celebrating our upcoming January graduates! You will also receive a graduation plan that reflects your progress towards graduation from your coach.
